Rachel has 35+ years of fitness training experience that has helped her formulate numerous approaches to fitness and enables her to pass her success on to her clients. Her desire to expand the role of fitness in everyday lives has brought her to the online world with a team of excellent professional trainers to give each person the chance to achieve the ultimate fitness level they desire with a unique system. Her philosophy for training involves a total body concept to achieve goals for all her clients whether it is a professional athlete, recreational athlete, competitive bodybuilding athlete or the suburban housewife who has the desire to be the best they can be. Using her unique history in sports and fitness, Rachel and her husband, Steve, developed the House of Payne training system to provide individual programs on-site, online & virtual based on the goals of our clients and evidenced by numerous success stories on and off the competitive stage and has used her experience in sports training to achieve her personal goals both in and outside the gym.

In 2016, Rachel founded and published a magazine, Southern Muscle Guide. Eight years later, it is now known as SMG Digital with a second publication SMG Living Fit. Rachel graduated in 1982 from Georgia Southern University with a B.S. Degree in Management Information Systems. She resides in Stone Mountain with her husband of 30 years, Steve Payne and together they have one daughter who is also a trainer at House of Payne Personal Training. 

COMPETITION & TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Ballroom Dance – 1st place, Bronze Solo, Theater Arts Division, Atlanta Open Ballroom Dance Competition, 2007; Showcase Dance Performance – Daza Dance, August 2012
  • Excelled and placed Top 3 in numerous amateur sports such as cycling, biathlon, triathlon, adventure racing, and track and field – 1989-1995; 2007
  • Georgia Southern University – Softball Team, 1978-1980
  • Worked with numerous sports teams in Georgia, including NCAA Division 1 football and basketball programs including Georgia Tech Women’s Basketball and St.Pius & Westminster High School Football Programs & Lassiter High School Football Team under the Reebok Pro Power Program. She has personally trained and worked with United States Tennis Association professional athletes i.e. Mikael Pernfors, and the Jenson brothers.
